Dates set for exams

KUALA LUMPUR: The Education Ministry yesterday announced

Sept 21 to 23 next year as the dates for the Ujian Pencapaian Sekolah Rendah examination,

while Oct 5, 6, 7, 11 and 12 were fixed for the Penilaian Menengah Rendah examination.

Director-general of Education Tan Sri Alimuddin Mohd Dom, in a statement here, said the

Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia examination would be held from Nov 22 to Dec 16

next year, while the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia Ulangan examination was scheduled for June 22 and 23.

The oral tests for the Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Agama Malaysia were fixed on July 12 and 13, while the written examination would be held on Oct 18, 19, 20, 26 and 27.

"The dates were fixed after much consideration given to public holidays like Hari Raya Aidilfitri, Malaysia Day, Deepavali, Hari Raya Aidiladha and Awal Muharam, which fall during the exams period," he said. -- Bernama
