KUALA LUMPUR: The results of the Penilaian Menengah Rendah (PMR) 2011 or Lower Secondary Assessment examination will be announced on Thursday.

The Education Ministry said in a statement that the analysis of the PMR results would be announced in Putrajaya on that day.

"Candidates can obtain their examination results from their respective schools after 10am on Thursday," the statement said.

Beginning this year, the ministry introduced the PMR results checking service through mySMS 15888 which will be activated from 10am on Thursday until midnight, Dec 28.

Further information on the SMS can be obtained from the ministry's official website www.moe.gov.my.

A total of 481,292 candidates sat for the PMR examination at 3,521 examination centres throughout the country this year.
